About Me

I am a Director and Creative Producer. Having trained in theatre, my creative journey has been shaped by a desire to make opera feel urgent, socially connected and accessible. I am interested in how music shapes dramatic storytelling, and I aspire to create visually powerful and emotionally immediate worlds on stage. My work balances artistic ambition with a practical and supportive approach to making things happen.

My Work

I have a wide range of experience in opera as director,
assistant director and producer, with credits including The Marriage of Figaro, The Magic Flute, Hansel and Gretel, The Bartered Bride, La Cenerentola and Macbeth. I was also co-Founder and Artistic Director of HighTime, a mid-scale opera company established as in residence at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry. I have developed a practice rooted in community collaboration, innovative translation and widening access.

Current Projects

Standard of Care is a new opera developed with NHS workers, examining the unique pressures and experiences of the healthcare workforce. With support from Arts Council England, I am working with an award-winning team including Composer David John Roche, Librettist Sam Redway Wells and Dramaturg Zoe Templeman Young, supported by doctor-musicians Susan Harris and Alex Aldren. The project examines where the current challenges in healthcare come from, and what it is like to live inside them. By centring clinicians’ experience, it asks what conditions are required to deliver care, and what happens when these begin to fail.
